Born and raised in South Arkansas, Don grew up enjoying all things outdoors, especially the woods. His love for the woods led him to the University of Arkansas at Monticello where he earned in 1981 his Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management. In 1983, he joined ATI as an Assistant Block Forester. In 2014, Don was named Chief Forester, and in 2016 he was promoted to Vice President of Timberland Management. His current responsibilities are to oversee all aspects of timberland management for 170,000 acres owned by ATI and its affiliated companies, along with additional acreage in ATI’s Landowner Assistance Program.
