The foundation for Anthony Timberlands
was laid in the fertile forested lands
covering Southern Arkansas in the 1840’s
when our ancestors settled there.

In 1907, Mr. Garland Anthony began operating
a small sawmill near Bearden, Arkansas.
By the 1930’s, he was reputed
to be the largest private lumber manufacturer in the world.
His pioneering spirit and business acumen live on
in the successive generations of his family
who still make up the management of our company -
who still walk the same forest paths
of towering pine and sturdy hardwood.

The Anthony family name
has come to mean something over the years:
Quality.
Responsibility.
